How the estimates work

In the kitchen

How to make it.

  1. Split the bagel and toast lightly if you prefer.
  2. Spread the jam over both halves.
  3. Slice the peeled banana and lay it over the jam.
  4. Eat fresh. If taking it with you, wrap the bagel and keep the banana separate until you are ready to eat.

Fit it around your training.

Why this combination?

Bread, jam and banana bring carbohydrate together in a compact meal. This can be useful when a large bowl of food is hard to face.

When it could work for you

A familiar pre-run option, or part of a higher-carbohydrate day. Adjust the quantity to the time available and your own stomach tolerance.

Plan food before, during & after your run

Storage & leftovers.

Best assembled just before eating. Follow the storage instructions for the bread and jam.

Make meal prep easier

Something for your next day.
