How the estimates work

In the kitchen

How to make it.

  1. Finely grate half the onion and the carrot. Tear bread into crumbs and mix with turkey, egg, grated vegetables and smoked paprika. Keep the mixture loose rather than squeezing hard.
  2. With clean hands, roll into small, evenly sized meatballs. Heat half the oil in a wide pan and brown them in batches; they do not need to cook through yet.
  3. Set the meatballs aside. Soften the remaining chopped onion in the rest of the oil, then stir in crushed garlic.
  4. Add tomatoes and 150 ml water. Return meatballs to the pan and simmer gently for 15–20 minutes until fully cooked through. Stir carefully.
  5. Cook pasta according to its pack. Divide pasta and meatballs into 4 portions and finish with torn basil.

Fit it around your training.

Why this combination?

Turkey breast brings a substantial protein portion. Grated vegetables and bread help the lean meatballs stay softer, while pasta supplies carbohydrate.

When it could work for you
