What do these nutrients do?

How the estimates work

In the kitchen

How to make it.

  1. Whisk flour, eggs and milk into a thick, pourable batter. Add a little water if needed.
  2. Fold in half the blueberries, keeping the remainder for serving.
  3. Brush a non-stick frying pan with a small amount of the measured oil. Add small rounds of batter.
  4. Cook until bubbles form and the underside is golden, then turn and cook until the centre is set. Repeat, using the remaining oil as needed.
  5. Divide the pancakes between plates and serve with yoghurt, the remaining berries and honey.

Fit it around your training.

Why this combination?

Flour and fruit add carbohydrate, while eggs, milk and yoghurt contribute protein. Smaller pancakes are easier to cook through consistently.

When it could work for you

A relaxed breakfast after a run or a meal well before later training. This is a full breakfast, not automatically a last-minute snack.
