A mostly flat King's Lynn 10K with town landmarks and a River Great Ouse return. The bigger race-morning trap may be transport: Sunday trains may not reach the start in time.

02 Choose your approach
Find your race strategy.
Choose your goal. These are our pacing suggestions, based on the published course, rather than organiser instructions.
My first finish
Start comfortably from Tuesday Market Place.
Use Red Mount Chapel and the river section as landmarks.
Keep enough to enjoy the final approach by the Corn Exchange.
A PB or time goal
Let the opening pack settle before chasing pace.
Use kilometre splits rather than forcing speed around corners.
Build the final effort on the return, allowing for the wind rather than fighting it early.
If the weather or your pace changes
If it is warmer, windier or wetter than your training, adjust your target before the start. Let the conditions guide your effort, clothing and preparation. Use the organiser’s weather and safety advice, and stop for concerning symptoms.
03 Know what is on the course
Drinks, fuel & toilets.
- Water
- On-course stations provide 330 ml bottles; locations are shown on the route map.
- Medical support
- Fixed on-course first aid and start/finish-area medical support are advertised.
Toilet locations: a confirmed location list is not available here. Check the official course or runner map before race day; a drinks table does not automatically mean there is a toilet beside it.
Know your stops
Find the start-area toilets before joining your wave. If you use an on-course station, look ahead, move predictably and leave room for other runners before slowing. Check whether the drink is in cups or bottles so it feels familiar.

Supporters & getting around.
Plan your support
Tuesday Market Place/Corn Exchange is a straightforward base. A riverside cheer is an alternative; check which crossings remain open before trying to do both.
The places below are viewing ideas from the linked route or spectator guide. Use your edition’s access map for barriers, permitted crossings and any crew restrictions.
Riverside town section
The published course returns beside the Great Ouse. Choose an accessible spot that leaves the path wide enough for runners.
Market Place / Corn Exchange surroundings
A clear town-centre finish base; agree a meeting point outside the barriers.
Undated official route graphic displayed on the 2027 event page
Official spectator or route informationMake the cheer easy to find
Agree a named point, the side of the road and your likely arrival window. Share your bib number for official tracking. Pick a separate reunion beyond the finish exit and a backup if the phone signal is poor.
