A half marathon around Gärdet and southern Djurgården on asphalt, gravel and paving stones. The organiser lists 183 metres of climbing, making this a different test from a flat city-road half.

My first finish
Start gently and find a rhythm that works across the different surfaces.
Use the three-hour limit and your training to plan any walk breaks.
Keep enough in reserve to enjoy the last part rather than chasing a road-race comparison.
A PB or time goal
Choose a target that accounts for the climbing and mixed ground.
Let pace ease on a rise and regain rhythm gradually afterwards.
Build effort only when your footing is secure and the course gives you room.
03 Know what is on the course
Drinks, fuel & toilets.
- Drinks and medical support
- Water and sports drink on course; medical staff at water stations and the start and finish.
Toilet locations: a confirmed location list is not available here. Check the official course or runner map before race day; a drinks table does not automatically mean there is a toilet beside it.
Turn the station list into your plan
Mark the stops you expect to use and the fuel you will carry. If you use a gel that needs water, pair it with a published water point. Practise the products and cup or bottle format before race day; you do not have to try every item offered.
