Find out how to report an error and how The Runner’s Journal corrects and records material changes to its running content.
Accuracy matters to The Runner’s Journal. We welcome clear, evidence-based feedback and will investigate credible reports of errors.
How to report a possible error
Use the Contact page and select Correction or evidence query.
Please include:
- The article title and URL
- The section or sentence concerned
- What you believe is inaccurate or unclear
- A supporting source, where available
How reports are reviewed
We will compare the query with the article’s sources and any relevant current guidance. Where necessary, we may seek input from an appropriately qualified professional.
Submitting a correction does not guarantee that the article will be changed. Differences in interpretation, training preference or individual experience are not automatically factual errors, but they may identify wording that needs more context.
Types of change
Minor changes
Spelling, grammar, formatting and broken-link corrections that do not alter the meaning of an article may be made without a correction note.
Clarifications
Wording may be clarified when it is technically accurate but could reasonably be misunderstood. A note may be added when the clarification materially changes how a reader could interpret the guidance.
Material corrections
If a factual error changes an article’s advice, conclusion or interpretation of evidence, the article will be corrected and a dated note will explain the material change.
Retractions
An article may be removed or replaced when its central conclusion cannot be supported responsibly. Where appropriate, the original URL will display an explanation rather than silently disappearing.
